Hope To See You This Spring

Spring is definitely here in the Borough and we are seeing more people out and about. Whether they are walking, looking for rocks hidden by the community through Langhorne Rocks project, or enjoying the spring flowers and trees it is nice to see more people enjoying being outside.

The renovations to Langhorne Community Memorial Association at the Richardson House (aka Peace Park) and the new lights stringing across our “Four Lanes” intersection at Maple and Bellevue Avenues are a welcome sight to see.

We are gathering at monthly meetings and our April Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday April 28th at 7:30PM at the Jesse Soby Post on the 2nd floor of the American Legion.

We will be discussing updates on the Summer Concert Series in the park, the Annual Car Show and even our participation in the Run for Woods – which supports our Clayton Thomas Memorial Scholarship – among other things.

Hope to see you soon!

Happy Spring 2021

We are looking to get back together, as usual. We are currently hosting meetings on our regular schedule, 4th Wed of each month – at the Legion Hall, on the first floor.

Hope to see you there and at one of our planned summer events.

March Meeting is Scheduled for 7:30PM on Wednesday 24th.

LBBA Members Start Planning Summer Events

In January, the LBBA members attending the monthly meeting decided to pursue a summer schedule of events “as usual” for 2021. The Committees are working on promoting the 2021 Run for Woods hosted by Woods Services, which supports the LBBA Clayton Thomas Memorial Scholarship Fund awarded to Neshaminy High School graduate(s) in the spring.

As of now, the Summer Concerts in the Park are planned to start in June with targeted dates of:

June 2

June 16

June 30

July 14

July 28

August 11

August 25

We are also planning to host the Annual Antique Car Show – Father’s Day weekend Saturday June 19th!

Stay tuned for more details on the LBBA Facebook page and please reach out to Committee members to become a sponsor.

Nominations occur in October with voting at the last meeting of the year in November or December (depending on when Thanksgiving falls.)

Happy New Year everyone!

Hope you are enjoying the winter so far! The new LBBA Board is looking forward to a great year ahead and welcome all members to join us for our first meeting of the year.

Please join us for a combined January / February Meeting on February 7th – 7:30PM at the American Legion

We’d like to extend our thanks the outgoing board members for their last 2 years of service in these roles:

  • Rich Beaumont – President
  • John Keefe – Secretary
  • Steve Masselle – Member at Large

We appreciate their dedication to the organization and hope that everyone will join us in thanking them in person at our next meeting.

We are looking forward to a great year ahead with some amazing events that you all coordinate and support.

Please share the date of our next meeting an associate or two who you think would benefit from becoming a member, or who could help the organization grow in the coming years.

Stay Warm and we will see you on February 7th!
